Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar browser storage WMart uses to operate the Platform and to remember your legal-acceptance state.

Effective 16 May 2026 · Version 2026-05-16.1

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how WMart Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies on our wholesale platform at wmart.co.uk (the “Platform”).

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to keep a website operating efficiently and to remember information about your session between page loads. We also use related browser-storage features (for example, “localStorage”) for the same operational purposes.

3. Cookies and Storage We Use Today

WMart is a B2B platform; we currently use only the cookies and browser-storage entries that are needed to operate the Platform. We do not currently run advertising pixels, marketing trackers, or third-party analytics on the Platform.

  • Authentication cookies set by our sign-in system to keep you signed in after you log in.
  • Cart and checkout cookies that hold the temporary state of your basket and order.
  • Security cookies used to mitigate common web threats such as cross-site request forgery.
  • A legal-consent snapshot stored under the browser-storage key “wmart.legal-consent.v1” so that you are not re-prompted to accept the Terms, Privacy Policy, and this Cookie Policy on every page load.
  • Anonymous error-monitoring identifiers used by Sentry to correlate crash reports with the session that produced them.

4. Third-Party Cookies

A small number of cookies on the Platform are set by third-party services we use, including Stripe (for payment processing) and Cloudflare (for content delivery and security). These cookies are governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

5. How We Capture Your Legal Acceptance

We do not display a separate cookie-preference banner. When you first visit the Platform we show a short non-blocking message at the bottom of the page that explains that continued use of WMart constitutes acceptance of our Terms, Privacy Policy, and this Cookie Policy.

If you continue to use the Platform after the message has been shown, we record your acceptance of the current versions of those documents. If we change a relevant document and bump its version, we will show the message again so you can re-confirm against the updated version.

6. Managing Cookies

Because we only use cookies and storage that are needed to operate the Platform, there is no cookie-preference centre. You can clear or block cookies and browser-storage entries through your browser's own settings; doing so may stop you from signing in, retaining a basket between visits, or remembering that you have accepted our legal documents.

7. Retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and the legal-consent snapshot remain on your device until they expire or until you clear them. We will publish a new effective date on this policy if our retention practices change.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. The updated policy will be published on the Platform with a revised effective date and an incremented version.

9. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at privacy@wmart.co.uk.
